She began her career as a production assistant and steadily rose through the ranks to lead costume departments on a variety of high-profile projects. Early in her journey, Colleen caught the attention of Academy Award-winning Costume Designer Ann Roth, who became an influential mentor. Her work alongside Roth opened the door to styling opportunities in the fashion photography world.

Colleen has since continued to expand her creative repertoire, collaborating with esteemed designers such as Melissa Toth, Kasia Walicka Maimone, and Catherine George. Her costume design work spans film, theater, advertising, editorial, and philanthropic ventures, and she has contributed to projects helmed by acclaimed directors including Bong Joon Ho, Jim Jarmusch, Michel Gondry, and Josh Safdie.
